Vertical Buffer Module – Kardex LR35

From highly dense storage of spare parts and tools for your production operation to picking of small parts in your warehouse, the Vertical Buffer Module sets standards in terms of speed, precision, and energy efficiency.

Specifications

High order picking performance based on bin cycles and number of order lines. The Kardex Remstar LR 35 optimizes the order picking performance of small parts and lightweight goods while guaranteeing high precision and energy efficiency. A station can consist of one or more units.

High picking performance – secure and precise

The Kardex Remstar LR 35 is a highly efficient solution for storing and retrieving lightweight, small-volume items. Its high picking performance makes it suitable for use in many different areas: The system significantly improves productivity and energy consumption, whether being used to supply a production line with a wide range of products, as buffer storage in the assembly area, or for picking slow-moving parts in the distribution warehouse. In addition, highly valuable parts are much more secure thanks to the controlled access.

Energy efficiency and integration

The Kardex Remstar LR 35 uses just a third of the energy of comparable systems. The use of the latest technologies and innovative design features makes this energy efficiency possible. Complex energy recovery is not necessary.

The Vertical Buffer Module can be flexibly incorporated in existing production and software systems, simplifying integration into existing processes. A mix of trays and bins can accommodate goods of up to four different heights within the Kardex Remstar LR 35.

Besides bar code scanners for identifying goods and pick-to-light technology to increase picking speed and accuracy, the system can also be combined with existing conveyor systems, driverless transport systems, and multi-shuttle systems such as the ARC from Servus Intralogistics.

The system is operated via a newly designed, capacitive touch screen, which displays all the information and activity in an easily understandable way. There is no need for time-consuming staff training.

Ergonomics
The Vertical Buffer Module features ergonomically designed picking stations to simplify the order picking process. The items are tilted at an angle of 20 degrees at the access opening to ensure that the bin is always presented to the operator in an ergonomically optimal position. This ensures that the goods can be easily retrieved or stored away.

The items are conveyed to the picking station in line with the goods-to-person principle in order to minimize the distance covered by the operator. The cleverly thought-out design of the Vertical Buffer Module guarantees sufficient foot and headspace for the operator at all times.
